Yes, the Fido App is free to download and use. You should not pay money to any individual to register a Fido Account or use Fido services. Any charges linked to your personal credit will be clearly displayed within the Fido App.
The only way to apply for credit with Fido is through the free Fido App. The application process cannot be influenced by any individual, and you should not pay money to anyone under any circumstances to obtain personal credit with Fido. Fido will also never ask for any cash deposit before processing your credit application.
Creating your Fido Account is simple and easy!
Please note that in order to receive the SMS we send you, your mobile number needs to be active and on a working mobile device. After completing your registration, you should verify your identity in the app and apply for your personal credit with Fido.
As a first-time customer, you have the opportunity to secure a credit limit of up to 200 GHS. By consistently making timely payments and strengthening your financial profile/track record with us, you can improve your credit score and draw up 3,500 GHS from your personal credit line.
To check the maximum amount of credit available to you at any point in time, log in to the Fido App and select ‘Apply now’ to confirm your credit limits.
Once you complete and submit your credit application, the approval process usually takes a few minutes at mostPay attention to the feedback you receive in the app after submitting your application. This would tell you if any further action is required of you for your credit application to be approved.
Paying off your personal credit with Fido is easy.
You can initiate repayment of your outstanding credit balance from either the Home Page or Credit Page of the Fido App. Complete the payment by authorizing the payment prompt you will receive on your mobile money wallet.
Alternatively, you can dial *998# and follow the steps below to pay off your credit.

To get started, make sure you have your Ghana card in hand and know your Street Address or landmark description. After successful registration with your mobile number, you can proceed to verify your Account by either going to the Profile section of your Account or by beginning the credit application process.
OTP (One-Time-Password) is a 6-digit number generated and sent by Fido as an SMS to your mobile number. This is to verify your mobile number is correct and to prevent the fraudulent use of your mobile number. The SMS will be sent shortly after you enter your mobile number on the login screen, once you receive it simply complete the OTP in the verification screen and press next.

Absolutely! At Fido, we believe in rewarding responsible financial behavior. Returning customers are therefore eligible for early repayment benefits. When you choose to make a full payment before the scheduled due date, you will only be charged the interest that applies up to the day of your repayment. This means that if you decide to repay your credit early, you will pay a reduced amount compared to what was originally specified in your credit payment schedule.
Installment loans are a way to make repaying larger loans easier for some Fido customers. Customers eligible for installment loans will have this option in the app when choosing their loan term.
Fido offers up to 6 months of installment options. This means that instead of repaying the entire loan after the usual one-month period, Fido will divide your loan repayment into small equal amounts. Hence, you pay a small part of the loan each month over the installment period (3 or 6 months) you have chosen.
Note that, it does not mean you will only repay the loan after the period you choose, but it means each month you will pay a part of the bigger loan.
Making timely repayments on your personal credit is crucial for maintaining a healthy Fido Score and ensuring future access to Fido products. If you encounter any difficulties regarding the repayment of your personal credit, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. It's important to note that late repayments may incur additional penalties as per Fido’s terms and conditions.
In the event of outstanding debts, we reserve the right to take appropriate legal actions to recover the amount owed. Furthermore, applicable laws and regulations require that we report delinquent borrowers to relevant agencies and authorities.
